Key Hill Cemetery was originally called Birmingham General Cemetery a Nonconformist (non-denominational) cemetery which is the oldest cemetery (not being in a churchyard) in Birmingham, England. Located in Hockley, the citys Jewellery Quarter and opened on 23 May 1836 it is one of two cemeteries in Birminghams Jewellery Quarter with the other one being the Warstone Lane Cemetery. The cemetery is itself grade II and on the Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest.  A number of the fittings and memorials warrant architectural and artistic merit with the entrance gate piers by Charles Edge and railings which are Grade II listed
